Taxes or Extortion?

To beleaguer the point, certain taxes assume the role of extortion. Income tax is extortion, no more no less. It is theft (commonly known as larceny, which is defined in Black's Law Dictionary as The Taking of Property without the Owner's Consent). It is akin to piracy which is theft or robbery on the high-seas, which if commited on dry land is considered a felony.

Yet we accept this theft. Why, because we know that they will do harm to us if we do not comply. So because it is implied that they will damage you financially and quite possibly come to you at gun point to remove property from you and under the guise that you have consented to the words they wrote down and decided you must follow their instructions or else.

Sounds pretty criminal when you come right down to it. Shouldn't taxes be consentual? Should you be able to choose to pay a certain tax? Do you know that system already exists? It is call apportionment. It is applied to the goods that we purchase. An example would be. I want to purchase a new car. I would really like to have a Lexus but my budget only allows me to purchase a Chevy. I have the ability to choose to purchase the Chevy with the lesser cost and the lesser tax associated with it. I can also choose to not purchase a car and use public transportation, which has a lesser tax associated with it or I can choose to buy a bicycle and save for the car further down the line. This way operating expenses for the government are gathered but they are not sticking a gun in your face to acquire them.

Few people realize the damaging nature of taxes. You might complain if you are the middle class about your taxes but think of the burden it is on poor people. It isn't bad enough that they are low money earners but everything they purchase has tax on it. The give more of their annual salary to taxes percentage wise than you or the rich do. Income tax on their salaries is devastating. With so little to work with it is no wonder society breeds criminals. If you had to sustain life on a McDonald's paycheck, could you do it. House or apartment? Food or medicine? Heat or water? Just something to think about.

If there were no income tax these people would have a great deal more of their pay to work with.

The book of Exodus states that the Hebrew slaves only paid 20% in taxes. We pay much more, so what does that make us?

Imagine having twice the money that you ever earned. How much different would your life be?
